Any startups that get funding as a result of the pitch competition will resolve YES, not just the ones chosen by the judges. See the other market: https://manifold.markets/hath/who-will-win-the-manifest-pitch-com
if anyone has proof of other funding received as a result of pitches at Manifest please reply to this comment so I or Hath can resolve accordingly.
@shankypanky Mycroft Technologies just closed a funding round involving BoxOne ventures, whose co-founder we met as a result of my pitch at this competition. I have no idea what's sufficient to prove that. I guess ping them for verification?
seems the creator has been inactive for a few weeks and I've been sent proof that Disco received funding so resolving Disco yes
From the Manifest Discord, someone who is affiliated with Disco:
Disco has received >$200k in funding thanks to Manifest so far
Congrats to the Disco folks! Seems like they're still in stealth mode for now, but looking forward to what they do next~
im donating 2800 to lightcone as result of pitch, does that count
It would clearly count. $2800 is definitely way above any minimum that is assumed for the market, IMO.
If a project doesn't need traditional capital, but only attention AND it gets that attention because of the events that took place at Manifest, does that count?
He was there. Didn't talk much. Not a great personal investment.
It's an investment into an AI nobody actually owns.
About as dumb as giving Satoshi funding to write the Bitcoin whitepaper without any guarantee they'll earn any coins in the future.
He did not secure any investors..
Made some friends tho.
i pretty much tune out when i hear urbit, there's the fascist aspect and the obscuratism and the four-digit active user count. For success u need pretty much both political revolution of specific type, and urbit success....
No. Not urbit.
This guy was trying to scale Doug Lenat's project by using decentralized constitutional RLHF.
I'm assuming that friends giving a couple dollars for the sake of getting this to resolve yes doesnt count
