Resolves to the month in which the 2025 Australian federal election is held, as soon as the date is officially announced.
A simultaneous half-Senate and House of Representatives election must occur between January 18 and May 17 2025 (inclusive).
The date must be announced at least 33 days before the election is held, so this market will resolve early April at the latest.
If the Senate and House elections don’t occur simultaneously, all options will resolve N/A.

Australians will vote to elect the 48th Parliament of Australia on 27th September 2025. The stakes are high with 151 electorates across the country, each electing one representative to the House of Representatives, and a proportional representation system for the Senate. After being in power for 9 years, the Liberal/National coalition was voted out in 2022 and the Labour Party under the leadership of Anthony Albanese went on to form the government.
@JussiVilleHeiskanen this source is not right - september 27 is the latest possible date a house of reps election could occur, but the senate election must be earlier and they almost always occur at the same time. the date has not yet been announced
