If the Statue of Liberty in New York is taken down or substantially damaged in the next 20 years, including decapitation of the statue or destruction from natural disasters, this question resolves NO. Minor wear and tear does not count.
Intentional dismantling does count and would resolve NO.
Note this question does not close on Jan 1 2045, but 20 years from opening date: April 9th, 2045.
I suspect that scenarios in which it is destroyed correlate highly with scenarios in which most or all people globally die (e.g. nuclear war, ASI nanobots turning the world to paperclips etc.), including Manifold users, who thus don't get the payout, so the market incentives become distorted towards a question more akin to "conditional on you living, will..."
