@Calibrate good question, this counts, I think where the lateral is made from is important (the Allen one may have been similar earlier this year). I don't think there is a proliference of simple option plays that ruin the spirit of this (that's actually probably why I gave the full yard), so officially yeah it's from the pitcher.
