This market will resolve to YES if, at any point between January 1, 2025, and January 1, 2040, Greenland (in whole or substantial part) joins or rejoins the European Union under EU law. This includes, but is not limited to:
Greenland entering the EU as an autonomous territory or region in its own right.
Greenland becoming part of the EU through its continued association with Denmark (e.g., if the Kingdom of Denmark extends EU membership to encompass Greenland).
Greenland joining under the sovereignty of another EU Member State (i.e., if Greenland’s status changes such that it is recognized by the EU as part of a different Member State).
Any formal change in Greenland’s legal status must be recognized by the European Union to count. If no such change occurs before January 1, 2040 (or if it occurs before January 1, 2025), the market will resolve to NO.
