I have played NLHE since the earliest years of the poker boom (20+ years), but I have never been a poker pro. I have played very sporadically as a recreational player over the past 10 years, mainly because I enjoy thinking about the strategy of poker. In past recent years, I subscribed to poker coaching websites for several months, studied solver outputs, played a few live NLHE tournaments per year on the WSOP circuit and in Vegas, and have been a winning tournament player in a small sample, including a WSOP main event cash. I have also been a winning NLHE player in live cash play over about 100 hours at $2/5 and $5/10.

A few months ago, I decided it would be more fun to learn and play Pot-Limit Omaha. I learned the game by playing low stakes online, reading a couple of books, and studying pre and post flop solver outputs. I have played about 2000 hands online, a tiny sample, and my net results are not significantly different from break-even so far, although I feel I have improved already during these first 2000 hands.

When I play online, I play 3 tables, so I get about 200 hands per hour. I plan to play about 30,000 hands this year, and spend about an hour a week studying the game. I am starting at $0.50/$1.00 blinds but will move up any time I log >10,000 hands at a given stakes with good results and believe I would be a winning player at the next highest stakes. Results will be determined by raw bb/100 combined across all levels, not dollar-weighted results, and results will be logged in my pokertracker software.

I will give periodic updates here and welcome any questions.
